What it currently meets

First focusable element on every page, visible on focus.

Semantic landmarks

header, nav, main and footer on every page.

Heading order

One h1 per page, no level skipped for visual reasons.

Focus indicators

A 3px outline with a 3px offset on every interactive element, deliberately prominent rather than subtle.

Target size

Interactive targets are at least 44×44px.

Contrast

Every pairing verified against its actual background. Marigold (#FFB627) appears only on Ink or Deep, where it clears 9:1; it fails AA on the Mist page background and is never used there.

Reduced motion

prefers-reduced-motion disables all animation, with content fully visible.

Form labels

Every control has a real label. Placeholder-as-label is not used anywhere.

Keyboard

Fully operable by keyboard alone, including the booking form and checkout.

Known gaps

These are real and current. They are listed because a statement without them is not worth reading.

Video captions and transcripts

Embedded video relies on YouTube captions, which are not yet verified as accurate on every clip, and full transcripts are not yet published alongside them. This is the largest outstanding gap on the site.

Screen reader testing

The site has been built to standard and checked by keyboard, but a full manual pass with NVDA, JAWS and VoiceOver has not yet been completed.

Third-party checkout

Payment is handed off to PayPal, whose pages are outside our control. If you hit a barrier there, contact me and I will take the payment another way.

Imported archive content

Older posts migrated from the previous site may contain images without alt text or headings that skip a level. These are being corrected as they are reviewed.
